Axew is a playful yet determined Dragon Pokémon that lives in forests and mountainous regions. Its defining feature is a pair of sharp tusks that it uses to crush berries and defend itself. These tusks regrow if broken, often coming back stronger than before. Axew is territorial and will challenge others to protect its space. It evolves into Fraxure at level 38, gaining a more fearsome form. In the wild, Axew spends much of its time sharpening its tusks on rocks. It prefers clean rivers for drinking and bathing. In battle, it uses moves like Dragon Claw, Dual Chop, and Assurance. Axew bonds strongly with its Trainer and becomes very loyal over time. Despite its small size, it has a brave heart and won’t back down from larger opponents. Its design draws inspiration from prehistoric reptiles and small dinosaurs.
